Copper Island Fine Homes is pleased to complete this stunning custom designed waterfront home on the shores of Shuswap Lake for a wonderfully creative Calgary couple. The design features a lake view covered deck with large uncovered sun tanning area, open 9’ basement with acid stained concrete flooring and stone accented wood burning fireplace, hand crafted Douglas Fir stairs with euro stainless railings, stained Douglas Fir exterior and interior doors, hand-crafted full height kitchen cabinets with granite surfacing and mood lighting beneath floating bathroom vanities, custom lighting, main floor over-sized tile with tile baseboards and deluxe painted ceilings and walls by Swiss certified painter. Designed for comfort and utility savings with energy efficient basement slab insulation, argon gas filled windows with Low E coatings, Typar house wrap, ultra efficient Lennox heat pump and air handler with insulated and sealed duct work, heat recovery ventilator, humidifier, premium air and water filtration systems, network wiring and sound system. House construction commenced September 2008. Our clients took occupancy May 2009.
2528 Golfview Crescent, Shuswap Lake Estates
With a solid foundation, good design and excellent location on the 12th fairway, Copper Island added this cozy home to its renovation inventory in December 2008. Our goal was to completely modernize the house. We replaced all interior flooring and subfloors, stair hand railing, trims and baseboards, light fixtures, andl ceiling textures. We removed interior walls to create an open floor plan between the living room, dining and kitchen areas. The entire house was repainted using premium Sicco Chamois paint. We installed wide plank hardwood flooring throughout the main floor living room, dining room and eating nook, with a spectacular tile entry with hardwood surround. Large tile is featured in the laundry, hallways, baths and kitchen. A custom tile backsplash with decorative inserts finishes off the newly resurfaced light oak kitchen cabinets, which come complete with crown molding, new counter tops and Corian edging, plus a center island work station. Plumbing and bathroom fixtures were upgraded with the ensuite featuring a large acrylic soaker tub and shower with custom tile surround. Although the wood shingles were in good shape, black 50 year architectural shingles were installed. This home was completed and sold in July 2009.
