This morning, we officially handed over the keys to yet another new custom home to its owners.
The home is a beautiful, spacious, one-level rancher located in the golf course area of Shuswap Lake Estates. As you can see in the photos below, one of the home’s many features is its huge great room with soaring ceilings and beautiful stone fireplace.
But perhaps the most amazing thing about this project is that today marks the first time the clients, who have been living in Europe up to this point, have actually seen their home in person.
“Today at handover was the first time the clients had physically been on site since we started,” says Heidi Friesen, Project Manager. “We communicated through email, phone calls and Skype calls, and sent pictures daily to keep them up to date and help them visualize the build along the way. In my seven and a half years with Copper Island, this is only the second time this has happened. The clients were easy to get in touch with, gave answers quickly and were willing to adapt any timeline we needed.”
“Over the years, we’ve spent a great deal of time and effort creating systems and communication methods to ensure a smooth and efficient building process for clients who are out-of-country, or are unable to visit the jobsite regularly,” explains Marcus Picton, Copper Island President and CEO. “Working within the realities of a pandemic has also raised the importance of being able to offer this type of service. It’s just one more reason of many to choose Copper Island to build your Shuswap dream home.”
