Whole home renovations have always been an important part of our business, and with a new project just getting underway in Eagle Bay, we’re carrying on that tradition.
Our clients have long enjoyed their older, modestly-sized bungalow and the beautiful property it sits on, but now want to completely renew and enlarge the home so that it better meets their needs.
The renovation involves a complete renewal and enlargement of the main floor, along with an exterior makeover of the home. Our clients enlisted the services of Santha Design, based in Okotoks, Alberta, to create a plan for the work.
In order to expand the living space to just under 1,200 square feet, we’ll be converting the parking bay/carport area into an addition that will accommodate the enlarged kitchen and a new mud/laundry room. The home currently sits on a well-built crawlspace, which we’ll extend to support the new addition.
Roughly half of the existing roof will be torn down and rebuit to create a spacious vaulted ceiling. We’ll also be adding several small bump outs to create extra living space at the front and rear. As for outdoor living space, we’ll construct a covered patio area for BBQ at the rear, and the deck at the front will be significantly enlarged with extra storage space created.
The whole look will be updated inside and outside with a much more modern design and a great deal of custom cabinetry.

Simply put, we love renovation projects like this. They are challenging but very rewarding when they begin to come together – and when the owners are absolutely overjoyed when they see the finished product.
